The Saint Helena pound is the official currency of the British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. It is issued by the Government of Saint Helena and is pegged at parity with the United Kingdom pound sterling, meaning one local pound is equal in value to one British pound.

Locally the pound circulates alongside UK sterling, but only the Saint Helena notes and coins are legal tender on the islands. It is divided into 100 pence, and the banknotes feature native wildlife such as the Saint Helena plover and historic landmarks. The currency symbol is the familiar “£”, often written as “SHP” to avoid confusion with the British pound.
