The Singapore dollar is the official currency of Singapore, issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. It is widely used for all domestic transactions and is also accepted in Brunei under a currency interchange agreement, making it one of the few currencies that circulates across borders without a separate exchange rate.

Banknotes are issued in denominations of 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 1,000 and 10,000 dollars and feature iconic local flora, fauna and architecture; they are printed on polymer for durability. Coins range from 1 cent to 1 dollar. The currency is known for its stability, low inflation, and strong international standing, often serving as a benchmark in Asian foreign‑exchange markets.
