The Seychelles rupee is the official currency of the Republic of Seychelles, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean. Issued by the Central Bank of Seychelles, it is subdivided into 100 cents and is denoted by the symbol ₨ or SR. The rupee has been in circulation since 1914, replacing the Indian rupee, and today it is pegged to the euro at a fixed rate, which helps stabilize the small open economy that relies heavily on tourism and offshore finance.

Banknotes and coins feature distinctive local motifs such as the coco de mer palm, Aldabra giant tortoise, and the national coat of arms, reflecting the islands' unique biodiversity. The currency is used alongside three official languages—Seychellois Creole, English, and French—making it a multilingual monetary environment. Despite its modest size, the rupee is fully convertible and is accepted throughout the islands for all transactions.
