XAUT is a tokenized gold product issued by Tether Ltd., where each token is backed 1:1 by one troy ounce of physical gold stored in secure, audited vaults. It offers a digital representation of gold that can be transferred instantly on blockchain networks while retaining the intrinsic value of the underlying metal.
The token is minted on several public blockchains, most prominently as an ERC‑20 token on Ethereum, but also on Tron (TRC‑20), Algorand, Solana, Polygon and Binance Smart Chain, giving users flexibility in network choice.
